For Veteran's Day there will be two programs on campus. The first is at 12:30 outside the TSC by the fountains and there will be a flag ceremony featuring veteran speakers, swing club, and the children's choir. Also on Nov. 11 the Utah Festival Choirs will be giving a concert with Craig Jessop at 7:30 p.m. at the Kent Concert Hall. There are reserved tickets for veterans who want to attend so please come 30 minutes early to get those free tickets.
The 2009 Aggie Passport Experience is coming to a close. Please submit your passport with 6, 8, or 10 stamps to TSC 314 no later than Nov. 23. For more information call 797-1132.
On Nov. 12 at 6 p.m. in the ASTE building the Collegiate chapter of the Utah Farm Bureau Federation Young Farmers and Ranchers will be holding its annual Collegiate Discussion Meet contest. The contest is designed to simulate a committee meeting regarding current agriculture issues. Prizes include a trip to the National Collegiate Discussion Meet contest where scholarships are given out to participants. Come watch or get involved and compete. "Clean Drive" Donate your Incredible Inedibles. Graduate Students from the FCHD Department are currently collecting nonperishable items: paper towels, paper plates, diapers, cleaning supplies, shampoo, soap, and other sanitary items for CAPSA. Collection boxes can be found throughout campus, including the Family Life Building now through Nov. 16.
Slow Food on Campus - Join us for our next meeting Nov. 18 at 7 p.m. in the Cache Valley Unitarian Universalists Building located at 596 East 900 North. Come enjoy some tasty local food and learn how you can get involved with the Slow Food Movement at USU.
The Native American Student Council will be having a frybread sale on Nov. 12 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the TSC Patio. There will be delicious toppings to chose from so come and enjoy the taste. Cost $2 (limit 2 toppings) There will also be hot chocolate!
Helicon West will host an open microphone reading Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. at True Aggie Cafe. Creative writers are invited to share up to seven minutes of original poetry, fiction, nonfiction, or other writing. The event if free and open to the public.
A Recycle Redesign Fashion Show will be held Nov. 11 at 7 p.m. in the Eccles Conference Center room 303. Bring some canned food to donate and see designs that will blow you away! Questions email Lindsey.shirley@usu.edu.
Bowling Tournament for USU students! Come bowl for prizes at Logan Lanes Nov. 9-12 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tournaments will benefit the SEED Program.
The Religion in Life Class will be held Nov. 13 at 11:30 a.m. in the LDS Institute Cultural Hall. The speaker will be Elder Bruce C. Hafen who is currently serving as Executive Director of the Priesthood Department. Prior to this cal he was a provost and professor of law and BYU. LDSSA Ping Pong Tournament will be Nov. 13 at 8 p.m. Come for an international Battle Royal! We will also be doing a humanitarian service project.
Full Circle and Vilociti Dance Companies present nationally recognized Kelli Leighton for an intermediate and advanced workshop Nov. 21 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the fieldhouse. $5 for students, $15 for public.
On Nov. 13 from 6-7 p.m. the USU College Republicans will be hosting a Student Forum with Senate candidate TIme Bridgewater. This event is open to the public and will be held in ENGR 106.
A Brazilian Benefit Dinner will be held on Nov. 17 at 6:30 p.m. at the Alumni Center. Dinner will also include live entertainment by local musician Robert Linton, and a raffle. Funds raised will assist the USU chapter VIDA (Volunteers Involved in Development Abroad). To purchase tickets call 801-850-3713, or visit our table in the basement of the TSC on Nov. 11-13.
On Nov. 21 there will be a Knit-A-Square charity event at Just Bee Scrapn' in Brigham City from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Knitters and crocheters are invited to come make an 8 inch square to be sent to South Africa, assembled into blankets and distributed to orphans.

This is a great event for snowshoers, nordic and backcountry enthusiasts to meet each other and learn about out plans for the upcoming winter.
